Excerpts from a Sunday Service Sermon (08/02/2014) delivered by the Shepherd In Charge: Most Snr. Evang Adebukola Anjorin

God already knows you will be here in his presence today, even before you thought of coming to church today.

(Isa 46:10 NIV): I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say: My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please

Do not be too confident that you are a Christian today, rather guard your Christianity so you don’t lose it. Always pray as it is in the Lord’s Prayer that God should not lead you into temptation.

(1Co 10:12 NIV) So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don't fall!

Each time you come into the church, you can easily go against God if you don’t worship him as you are supposed to worship. (Rom 8:8 NIV) Those controlled by the sinful nature cannot please God.

Especially in the Celestial Church where we worship God as it is done in heaven, everything should be done in spirit and order. From the moment when we sing CCC HYMN 3, we must be in sync with the Spirit and your mind must be totally prepared to worship God.

(Rom 8:26 NIV) In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express.

Whenever you are worshiping God, it is non-negotiable that you should be in spirit and avoid distractions and disturbance. If you can be in a board meeting and not pick phone calls or roam about, then you must not try it in church. You should fear God who is bigger than your board meeting and has the power to take both the job and even your life. You have from Monday to Saturday to yourself, it costs you nothing to totally surrender the few hours of service on Sunday to God totally.

First Bible Lesson. (Numbers 23: 1-24.)

Balaam and Balak conspired and connived to curse the Israelites because the Israelites were expanding.

PRAYER DECLARATION: “Every power/persons joining hands to curse you will be destroyed at this very moment in Jesus name”

Balaam and Balak wanted to make a sacrifice to God, so He could allow them curse the Israelites, they wanted to play a smart one on God, they wanted to ‘bribe’ him, they wanted to arouse him with a sacrifice, because they knew the importance of sacrifices to God, but God does no evil. A good intention does not justify a bad action, and also a bad intention does not justify a good action. The bad intention behind their sacrifice nullified the sacrifice.

(Pro 21:27 NIV)The sacrifice of the wicked is detestable, how much more so when brought with evil intent!

This also applies in all ways, once you take a bad action, no matter the intention behind it, it will fail simply because it is a bad action. For Instance, if you start a church for financial gains, nothing good will come out of that church. Your good action will be nullified by the bad intention.

Once you stand firm with God, no bad action will have effect on you. Let the most fetish person in your family curse you with his most potent charm, as long as you remain unshaken in Christ, no evil will befall you.

(Lam 3:37 NIV) Who can speak and have it happen, if the Lord has not decreed it?

If anyone tells says you cannot be great, let him know he is not God and has no power to decree anything over your life. God’s thoughts towards you are of good only and not of evil.                        (Jer 29:11 NIV) For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

PRAYER DECLARATION: “Every curse acting in your life is erased in the name of Jesus”

But as soon as you backslide or go against God, evil begins to stand a chance to overpower you.

PRAYER DECLARATION :“For everyone standing firm in Christ, all your long standing battles are brought to an end in Jesus name.”

One thing we Prophets need to learn from Balaam is that we need to be very careful so we do not do things against God’s will. We must not misuse our gifts.

God’s plans for you are of Good and not of evil and there is no curse that can make God change his mind towards you. God cannot change his mind, he can only change his methods. Every good thing God has said concerning you will definitely come to pass. If you misbehave, the he may have to change his methods or replace you with someone else.

God has said Celestial Church will cleanse the world, that shouldn’t give us a license to start misbehaving. God will still fulfill his word, no matter the amount of evil the members of the church are doing. You as a person may not just be part of the cleansing of the world, but I am very sure that Celestial Church of Christ will cleanse the world. When Celestial Church will be one, most of the elders and even several members too will have left the church.

“Sometimes ago, I was invited to preach in a gathering. I spoke on ‘sin’, and I told them pure truths from the bible. After my ministration, a Shepherd grabbed the microphone then told the organizers to desist from inviting young people like me to preach in gatherings where people like him are. He went on to say several unprintable things, but as he dropped the microphone, another person picked up the microphone and lamented that most elders hate the truth, he reiterated that all I said was not personal but just words from the bible, and said I was very right to have spoken the truth to them. Till the end of the event, I wasn’t angry, I still did everything expected of me. Few months later, the Shepherd sold off his church and left Celestial Church."

If you stand firm with God, he will defend you even in your absence. The Israelites did not know what Balak was planning, but God was there to defend them. God is aware of everything that is being planned against you, and he will defend you. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but God will deliver him. (Psa 34:19 NIV) A righteous man may have many troubles, but the LORD delivers him from them all;

God used his overruling power over Balaam. Balaam could curse them, but God was there to overrule his power to curse the Israelites. The Israelites were not even aware of what was going on, but God was there todefend them. All you need for God to defend you in your absence is your righteousness. All you need for him to deliver you from your afflictions is your righteousness to him.

1. I dwell in righteousness

For the communion of the saints

Remain in fellowship

Until my arrival.

2. It’s me Christ saying this,

That I surely will come

To judge the entire world

During the last days.

Stop sinning before your day of reckoning comes. If your day of reckoning comes and you are still in sin, it will be a disaster. Stop sinning before you get disgraced where you are being celebrated.

 

 

 

 

                         Second Bible Lesson Romans 8:28-39

This is there basically to encourage us. Wherever you find yourself, it is for your own good. Bring the good out of such situations. When Joseph’s brothers thought they were doing him evil, they had no clue it was for his good.

(Gen 45:5-8 NIV) And now, do not be distressed and do not be angry with yourselves for selling me here, because it was to save lives that God sent me ahead of you.

For two years now there has been famine in the land, and for the next five years there will not be plowing and reaping.

But God sent me ahead of you to preserve for you a remnant on earth and to save your lives by a great deliverance.

"So then, it was not you who sent me here, but God. He made me father to Pharaoh, lord of his entire household and ruler of all Egypt.

Shedrack, Mesach and Abedenego were thrown into the fire, not to die, but to show God’s glory.

Lazarus died, not because death has conquered him, but to show God’s glory.

Whatever you might be going through, look for the good in it. No matter how bad you think your situation is, you will see several people with even worse situations.

PRAYER DECLARATION: “Every power disturbing your progress, which wants to turn your journey of 1 year to 10 years is destroyed in Jesus name”

1. Today is the day Ye celestial church

Chorus: Think deeply, ye Celestians,

how much search have you done in your heart,

oh please think deeply ye Celestians.

The most costly blood of Jesus Christ

has brought redemption down to the world,

for those that believe and are repentant,

will be saved in celestial church.

CCC Hymn 205

1. God the king of heavenly light

(Rom 8:35-39 NIV) Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written:

"For your sake we face death all day long;

we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered."

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

No matter what you may be going through, it cannot be enough for you to leave God and run after herbalists, magicians or anybody who uses evil powers.

(Lev 19:31 NIV) 'Do not turn to mediums or seek out spiritists, for you will be defiled by them. I am the LORD your God.

You will reap what you sow. All Paul’s sufferings were as a result of those he made suffered too when he was still in the world. He suffered most among all the apostles.

If you fornicate on earth and are lucky enough to escape it, you cannot escape it on judgment day.

If you steal on earth and are lucky enough to escape it, you cannot escape it on judgment day.

If you lie on earth and are lucky enough to escape it, you cannot escape it on judgment day.

1. Keep laboring, do not seek for repose

Keep sowing seeds, the harvester cometh

The eyes of the Lord are set on all your works

CCC Hymn 677

1. The divine crown that I’ve prepared

For those that believe in me

Will wear the crown, to blossom on the last day

2. How joyful shall the last day be

For those who were obedient

The obedient ones shall all be placed

In everlasting life.

Most of the apostles are martyrs. They died for God’s sake and were strong in death because they were certain of heaven. You shouldn’t be scared of death, once you have an assurance of heaven. Not all of us will live up to 70, 80 or 90. In as much as you don’t know when your appointed time is, live everyday prepared.

If you take a bottle of alcohol, then die few minutes after, and face judgment what will be your excuse?

If you have a problem and you go to a herbalist, and eventually die in that tribulation and face judgment. What will you have to say?

If you start with Christ and still end with the devil, what a tragedy!
(Eze 3:20 NIV) "Again, when a righteous man turns from his righteousness and does evil, and I put a stumbling block before him, he will die. Since you did not warn him, he will die for his sin. The righteous things he did will not be remembered, and I will hold you accountable for his blood.

1. What shall we say, what shall we tell

Celestial Church what shall we tell

When the father shall call on us,

That we stop work and come to him

To account for all of our works.

Now that elections are approaching and our politicians are running to churches for prayers. Do you think such prayers will be effective? Most of them and their pastors/prophets will be like Balak and Balaam.

Brethren, Are you sure you have a space in heaven?

If you have no space in heaven, think of the unending fire that will burn in hell.

It is sad that most of our hymns in Celestial Church focus on heaven, but most of us don’t work towards heaven.

CCC Hymn 694

1. Let us work for the purification of our souls

That the Lord may abide here with us

Let us work for Jehovah’s fold

Remembering the holy heaven

Let us work for the purification of our soul

And remember the mansion up above.

2. In our mist please descend O Lord we plead thee,

That we might all be in sanctity.

Holy Michael please help us we plead,

Out of all earthly temptation,

That the evil spirit we might all conquer,

Let us work with divine love.

3. In vain it is for man to hope

On earthly reassures that will vanish.

We should come together to accomplish

The mission that Christ has sent us

Through this shall we inherit the glorious crown

That God has promised unto us

Heaven should be our focus. Your religion doesn’t secure your heaven. Your denomination does not secure your space in heaven. It is your works on earth will secure your space.

(Deu 32:29 NIV) If only they were wise and would understand this, and discern what their end will be!

CCC Hymn 575

1. Oh my Lord please do not forget me
Remember me in thy kingdom

Where there is salvation and great joy

In everlasting salvation.

2. The Lord that owns both the skies and the earth

He owns heaven and the world

No matter how sweet the world may be

We shall all depart from here one day.

The day of judgement draws near

There’s no other way that leads to heaven

Descend to guide us now.

The day you make any human your standard of living, you get into trouble. Make Jesus your only standard.

The day you disobey the doctrine of celestial Church and start drinking, smoking, fornicating, etc., you have gone the way of Balaam and you are an illegitimate Celestian.

(Jud 1:11 NIV) Woe to them! They have taken the way of Cain; they have rushed for profit into Balaam's error; they have been destroyed in Korah's rebellion.

(2Pe 2:15 NIV) They have left the straight way and wandered off to follow the way of Balaam son of Beor, who loved the wages of wickedness.

(Rev 2:14 NIV) Nevertheless, I have a few things against you: You have people there who hold to the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to entice the Israelites to sin by eating food sacrificed to idols and by committing sexual immorality.
