                                                      SANCTIFICATION.

Bible Lesson Reading: Romans 6: 1-14

In Celestial Church, literal sanctification is usually the first thing for new converts.

Sanctification occurs in two phases:

  1. Dieing unto Sin. (Romans 6: 1, 6, 11)
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? (Romans 6:1 KJV)
Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. (Romans 6:6 KJV)
Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 6:11 KJV)

  1. Living Unto Righteousness.
Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him. The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God.         (Romans 6:8-10 NIV)

Once you have given your life to Christ, there should be no stain whatsoever found in your life again.
After agreeing to worship in Celestial church, if you ever go back to sin, you are guilty and liable to God’s punishment.
If you know Christ and still commit adultery, you are guilty and liable to God’s punishment.

             CCC Hymn 283
1.         O hearken all ye people,
to the voice of your creator.
The day of judgement draws near
That ye all shall be reckoned

Chorus:
All the world have sinned and fallen short of his glory
O sinner, the name of Jesus shall save ye.
There’s no other way that leads to heaven
All ye people come and accept Jesus now.

2.        Most precious blood of Jesus,
             paid ransom for our sins
Ye sinners be washed in it,
and ye shall all be saved
                         Chorus
3.       We shall all be assembled
 before the Lord Jesus.
Both children and the adults
We all shall give account
                                Chorus
4.       What reasons shall we all give
at the sight of Jesus,
So many people have died
Without accepting Jesus.
                    Chorus

All those who died and were risen by God in the bible still eventually died. All mortals will eventually die, no matter how many times you are risen from death.
Only Jesus rose from death and never died again. Once you are alive unto righteousness, you cannot die again, you will only go to sleep in the Lord.

  • You need to get to that point where sin begins to irritate you.
  • When you serve God truly, you will have no need for special prayers. All your needs will be given unto you, even before asking.

During our immediate past Wednesday morning service, we discussed ‘The Limitations of Prayer’, and it was established that sin is one of these limitations.
I cried out to him with my mouth; his praise was on my tongue.  If I had cherished sin in my heart,  the Lord would not have listened;  (Psalms 66:17-18 NIV)

Faith is another master key, but it also has its own limitations.
The only master key that has no limitation is holiness.
  • The day you begin to walk in holiness and people have no accusation against you, that day is when you will begin to excel outstandingly.
  • If you are not holy, you need to stop wasting your time in coming to church. God is not blind, neither is he stupid. He sees you and he sees  your sins                                                               What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? (Rom 6:1 KJV)
If you abide in sin and keep exploiting God’s grace, one day the grace will no longer cover you.
David was a man after God’s heart, because he was always willing to walk upright before God. Though he fell to sin at times, his heart was always after God.
1Kings 14:8  And rent the kingdom away from the house of David, and gave it thee: and yet thou hast not been as my servant David, who kept my commandments, and who followed me with all his heart, to do that only which was right in mine eyes;

King Hezekiah could go boldly before God to reverse his death because of his holiness.
And said, Remember now, O LORD, I beseech thee, how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore. (Isaiah 38:3 KJV)

Men of Holiness perfom great exploits.

Joshua commanded the sun: On the day the LORD gave the Amorites over to Israel, Joshua said to the LORD in the presence of Israel:  "O sun, stand still over Gibeon,  O moon, over the Valley of Aijalon."   (Joshua 10:12 NIV)

Elijah commanded the rain: Now Elijah the Tishbite, from Tishbe [a] in Gilead, said to Ahab, "As the LORD, the God of Israel, lives, whom I serve, there will be neither dew nor rain in the next few years except at my word." (1Kings 17:1 NIV)

Peter healed the beggar at the ‘beautiful gate’: Then Peter said, "Silver or gold I do not have, but what I have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk." Taking him by the right hand, he helped him up, and instantly the man's feet and ankles became strong. (Act 3:6-7 NIV)

                            CCC Hymn 694
1.       Let us work for the purification of our souls
That the Lord may abide here with us
Let us work for Jehovah’s fold
Remembering the holy heaven
Let us work for the purification of our soul
And remember the mansion up above.

2.       In our mist please descend O Lord we plead thee,
That we might all be in sanctity.
Holy Michael please help us we plead,
Out of all earthly temptation,
That the evil spirit we might all conquer,
Let us work with divine love.

3.       In vain it is for man to hope
On earthly reassures that will vanish.
We should come together to accomplish
The mission that Christ has sent us
Through this shall we inherit the glorious crown
That God has promised unto us.

  • If you pray for wealth from God, without holiness, you may not get it.

                   CCC HYMN 276
1.       Rejoice with us,
 ye brethren in Christ,
 for this goodluck we possess.
The hour of evil cometh,
that putteth the world in confusion.
O sinners repent from your sins,
In this celestial church.

2.       The big ditch of destruction now opens,
to erupt all it bowls.
If thou will not want to perish,
 before thy Lord and redeemer.
Cling unto Christ in Celestial church,
He surely would help you.

3.       Shortly, the father would not know his child,
nor the child know his father.
Renounce the world now run to Christ,
He’s waiting in his holy place.
             Great tumult and destruction cometh,
come now to repentance.

4.       I’m patiently waiting in my mercies,
calling on ye poor sinners.
This hour, come to repentance.
Very soon the mercies will be no more.
 Forsake wickedness, sorcery, idols.
Christ surely will save us.

5.       The entire world has sinned against me,
and yet I regard not their sins.
I think not of heaven’s beauty.
The hairs on your head are counted.
That made me Christ bear the suffering.
 I say, come receive life.

6.       And now for the destruction of this world,
I draw back with mercy.
And still, unbelief increases.
They worship Idols and sorcery.
They indulge in unspeakable wickedness.
Forsake them come to me.

7.        I have prepared many good things for you,
the shining crown of life.
Your mansion is waiting  for you.
On the suitable good firm ground.
Depart from this world and come to me.
 I’ll surely receive you.  (AMEN)

And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them. (Rev 14:13 KJV)
